Strong performances but watching it after knowing it’s going to try and subvert the viewers’ expectations didn’t ruin the twists but it blunted them for sure. It also feels a little bit pretentious in its need to have the Shot in 35mm on the opening and the extended end scene feels like it’s deliberately trying to create the next big ending scene for an actress like in IMMACULATE or PEARL. Those scenes felt organic here it felt placed in. I would have liked to have seen it at a fest completely blind as I may have liked it more then.
